1. The short version
- Building and previewing are always free: try before you buy.
- Unused resume exports can be refunded within 14 days of purchase.
- If an export fails for a technical reason, it is automatically returned to your balance, and you're never charged for a broken export.
- Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply, including where the service is faulty.
2. Your consumer rights
If you are in Australia, our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a remedy if the service is not provided with due care and skill, or is not fit for a purpose we told you it would be fit for. For a major failure you may choose a refund; for a minor one we may choose to fix the problem. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
3. Unused exports
If you've bought an export pack and haven't yet used a resume export to unlock a résumé, you can request a refund of the unused exports within 14 days of purchase. We'll refund them to your original payment method. Exports you've already used to unlock and export a résumé are not generally refundable as a change of mind, because the digital product has been delivered, but see your consumer rights above and the "faulty service" section below.
4. Failed exports
You should never pay for an export that didn't work. If the system fails to produce your PDF after you spend an export, that export is automatically returned to your balance. If you believe an export was spent but you didn't receive a working PDF, contact us and we'll make it right.
5. Faulty or misdescribed service
If the exported PDF is faulty (for example, it's corrupted, doesn't match the preview you approved, or otherwise fails to do what we said it would), you're entitled to a remedy. Contact us with the details and we'll repair the issue, re-supply the export, or provide a refund as appropriate and as required by law.
6. Change of mind
Because you can preview your finished résumé in full before paying, we generally don't refund exports that have already been spent simply because you've changed your mind. We may still offer a goodwill refund at our discretion. Just ask. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. How to request a refund
Email support@resume-studio.app from the address on your account, with:
- the email address linked to your account,
- the date of purchase and the pack you bought, and
- a short description of the problem or reason.
We aim to acknowledge requests within a few business days and to process approved refunds promptly to your original payment method. Refunds are handled through Stripe; how quickly the money appears depends on your bank or card provider.
