1. Acceptance of these terms
Resume Studio is operated by Irina Taktarova (ABN 35 478 248 536) ( "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Resume Studio. To make a purchase, you must be at least 18 (or have the consent of a parent or guardian) and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract.
3. Your account
You can start building straight away without an account. To save across devices, export, or purchase resume exports, you sign in with a passwordless email link. You're responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
4. The service
Resume Studio is an online résumé editor. You can choose a template, enter or import your details, preview the result, and export a high-quality PDF. Building and previewing are free; exporting a finished PDF requires a resume export (see below). We may add, change, or remove templates and features over time.
5. Exports & payment
- No subscription. You buy resume exports in one-off packs. There are no recurring charges.
- One export unlocks one application. Spending one unlocks a résumé for export and locks in its template.
- A free editing window. After you unlock a résumé, you can edit and re-export it free for a limited time (currently 24 hours, up to a generous export cap), so fixing a typo never costs extra. Once that window closes, the export is final; editing it further starts a new draft, which needs a new export.
- Resume exports never expire, and a finished résumé stays available to download.
- Prices are shown on the pricing section and at checkout, in the stated currency and inclusive of any applicable taxes. Launch pricing is time-limited and may change for new purchases; the price you paid for exports you already hold doesn't change.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We don't receive or store your full card details.
6. Refunds
Our Refund & Cancellation Policy forms part of these terms and explains when you're entitled to a refund. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
7. Your content
You own the résumé content you create or import. It's yours. To run the service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content for the sole purpose of providing the service to you (for example, saving your work and rendering your PDF). We don't claim ownership and we don't use your résumé content for any other purpose.
You're responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of what you put in your résumé, and you confirm you have the right to use it.
8. AI-assisted import
The optional import feature uses AI to read a résumé PDF you upload and pre-fill the editor. AI extraction is helpful but imperfect, and it may miss or misread details. The result is always given to you as an editable draft to review and correct before you export. You're responsible for checking the final document. See the Privacy Policy for how the file is handled.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for anything unlawful, deceptive, or fraudulent.
- Upload content you don't have the right to use, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Attempt to bypass the paywall, exceed or circumvent rate limits, or access data that isn't yours.
- Probe, scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
- Resell or redistribute the service or its templates as your own.
10. Our intellectual property
The Resume Studio software, templates, designs, branding, and site content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service and to use the PDFs you export for your own job-seeking purposes. The template designs themselves remain ours.
11. Availability
We work to keep the service available and reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may perform maintenance, and we may modify or discontinue features. We'll try to give reasonable notice of significant changes.
12. Warranties & consumer guarantees
Except as set out below, the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Where we are permitted to limit our liability for a breach of a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of re-supply.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to the section above on consumer guarantees, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of opportunity, data, or profits arising from your use of the service. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
You are responsible for the content and accuracy of your résumé. We don't guarantee any particular outcome, such as securing an interview or a job, or that your résumé will be parsed by any particular applicant tracking system.
14. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that harms us or others. You can export your data before deleting your account (see the Privacy Policy).
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the "last updated" date and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state. Nothing here limits any non-excludable rights you have under the law of the place where you live.
